Hard-wearing materials do not need to look utilitarian. We select performance textiles, repairable woods and honest surfaces for the way they age—not only for the way they photograph on handover day.
The goal is to reduce operational friction without compromising the room’s character.
A memory, not a theme
The Caribbean does not need to be explained through clichés. It can be felt in a palm shadow, the porosity of coral stone, cross ventilation and a palette that takes its temperature from the earth.
That sense of belonging creates more memorable imagery and more human stays.
Designing the operation
Accessible storage, intuitive lighting, replaceable pieces and clear circulation are design decisions. When resolved well, the guest never notices them. The operator does.
